Educational Picnic – A Day of Discovery and Joy
On 16 September 2026, the students of Classes II A, II B and II C of St. Theresa’s School, Bendur, Mangaluru, enjoyed an enriching educational picnic to Pilikula.
The day began at the Pilikula Regional Science Centre, where students explored interactive exhibits, educational games, mind games and hands-on activities, with the Artificial Intelligence exhibits particularly capturing their interest.
The students then visited Guthu Mane, where they discovered the traditional lifestyle and cultural heritage of coastal Karnataka. At the Swami Vivekananda Planetarium, an engaging 3D show introduced them to the fascinating world of space and astronomy.
Their visit to the Pilikula Artisan Village offered a glimpse into traditional crafts such as weaving, oil extraction and pottery. The day concluded with fun and relaxation at Tannirbhavi Tree Park, where the children enjoyed the play area with their friends.
Returning to school with cheerful faces and wonderful memories, the students experienced a perfect blend of science, culture, nature, learning and fun. The picnic truly brought learning beyond the classroom through meaningful hands-on experiences.
