St. Theresa’s School, Bendur Hosts Inspiring YSM Orientation Programme
The Young Students’ Movement (YSM) Orientation Programme was successfully conducted at St. Theresa’s School, Bendur, on Saturday, 4 July 2026, in the school auditorium. The programme was led by Rev. Fr. Roshan D’Cunha and his dedicated team, who inspired students to embrace the values of leadership, unity, compassion, and selfless service through the Young Students’ Movement.
The programme commenced with a prayer song, invoking God’s blessings on the gathering, followed by a warm welcome address by Krupal. As a meaningful gesture of gratitude, Rev. Fr. Roshan D’Cunha and his team were welcomed with a sapling, symbolising growth, hope, and care for creation.
The resource person was introduced by Sr. Sharmila, after which Rev. Fr. Roshan D’Cunha delivered an engaging orientation session. He highlighted the vision, mission, and objectives of YSM, encouraging students to develop leadership qualities, teamwork, discipline, compassion, and a spirit of responsible citizenship. His team further enriched the session through interactive activities and practical demonstrations, helping students understand the various YSM initiatives and their role as active members of the movement.
An interactive question-and-answer session gave students the opportunity to clarify their doubts and deepen their understanding of YSM, making the programme both informative and inspiring.
In appreciation of their valuable contribution, the Principal presented mementoes to Rev. Fr. Roshan D’Cunha, Mr. Richard Alvares, and Miss Amika Frank. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mrs. Shwetha M. Tauro, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the resource team, the Principal, Vice Principal, teachers, and everyone who contributed to the success of the programme.
The programme concluded with the singing of the YSM Anthem, filling the auditorium with enthusiasm and a renewed commitment among students to become compassionate leaders and dedicated ambassadors of service.
The orientation proved to be a memorable and enriching experience, motivating students to actively participate in the Young Students’ Movement and contribute meaningfully to society through lives of leadership, responsibility, and service.
