Republic Day Celebration 2022
Celebration of Republic Day at St Theresa's School, Bendur, Mangalore.
St Theresa's School, Bendur, Mangalore celebrated the 73rd Republic Day on 26th January 2022, with patriotic fervor and enthusiastic devotion. India gained independence on 15th August 1947 and became a Republic on 26th January 1950. The new constitution of independent India went into effect on this day. Hence, this day is significant for India’s residents. It is a day of national celebration and a red-letter day. It is commemorated with pomp and shows throughout the country. The day was celebrated in our school with great éclat. The Honorable Chief Guest Mrs. G. Bharathi, Police Inspector, Urwa Station was escorted to the program venue by Principal Sr.Lourdes, Vice Principal Sr. Caron, Mrs. Charlene Rebimbus, PTA Vice President, and the School Band.
The celebration began with the unfurling of the national flag by the honorable chief guest Mrs. G Bharathi, followed by the National Anthem. A parade was held by the school's NCC cadets, RSP platoon, and house members. Ms. Raveena recited the Preamble of the Indian Constitution to offer an idea of the goals of the Indian Constitution.
Cultural activities were organized to instill unity, brotherhood, and patriotism in the students. The students of class 6 presented inspiring speeches, soulful songs, and mesmerizing dance performances.
The Chief Guest encouraged the students by sharing her motivational words and reminding them to respect the constitution of their motherland and fulfill their civic responsibilities. The event ended with a positive note of remembering our great leaders, their sacrifice, and their contribution towards Republic India. Overall, it was a memorable day and everyone valued the Indian culture.
