The students of Std 1 from St. Theresa’s School had an exciting day as they embarked on their much-awaited picnic. The first stop of their journey was the Aloysius Museum, where the children were awestruck by the fascinating exhibits. They marveled at the gigantic skeleton of a whale, admired the collection of antique coins and telephones, and were thrilled to see the first car used in Mangalore, among other historical treasures. The museum visit gave them a glimpse into the past and filled their young minds with curiosity.
Next, the students headed to the Pilikula Zoo, where they were delighted to see a variety of animals. The sight of the majestic tiger and lion captivated them, while the playful antics of the monkeys brought giggles and laughter. The children also enjoyed spotting other animals and learning about their habitats.
After an enjoyable time at the zoo, everyone gathered for a delicious lunch that gave them the energy for the next part of the day. Post lunch, they visited the science centre, which turned out to be a highlight of the trip. The students were thrilled to watch a 3D movie, which left them amazed and excited. They eagerly explored the various hands-on exhibits at the science centre, trying out experiments and learning new things in a fun and engaging way.
The day ended with some free time at the park, where the children played joyfully with their friends. They returned to school with big smiles and fond memories of the wonderful experiences shared together. They were grateful to the Principal Sr Lourdes for arranging this picnic. It was truly a day filled with learning, fun, and laughter for the young learners of St. Theresa’s School!
