As St Theresa’s School celebrated the 76th year of Free India. All Theresians gathered to celebrate the relentless efforts made by the people of our nation.
The celebration took place in the school auditorium as every Theresian found their heart filled with joy and a feeling of immense pride. The programme began by invoking God’s blessings. Cultural dance and a patriotic song sung by the students signified the culture and tradition of our country which mesmerized the audience.
A very inspiring and stirring speech was rendered by the Chief Guest Dr Jolly Dmello. The chief guest complemented the efforts of the staff in the success of the day’s program in training the students. She in her speech shared how India attained Independence and she said that she could see the future nation builders in these students.
The theme of this year’s Independence Day being ‘Nation First, Always First’ was felt throughout the program. The whole gathering was given a feeling of cherishing the ones who made our independence possible. The program ended with everyone appreciating and celebrating the great miracle of freedom.
The program was conducted by the students of grades 3A and 3B.
