On May 28, 2025, the faculty of St. Theresa’s School gathered for a reflective half-day retreat at Saanidhya, Bethany Spirituality Centre, Bendur, Mangalore. Held under the theme “Empowered from Within: A Path to Personal and Professional Growth,” the retreat offered a much-needed pause for introspection, spiritual renewal, and community bonding ahead of the upcoming academic year.
The program began with a warm welcome by the School Principal, Sr Lourdes, who greeted the teaching staff and introduced the day’s resource persons: Sr Jyoti, Director of the Saanidhya Spirituality Centre, along with Sr Sharon and Ms Kripanjali. Their guidance helped shape a meaningful and immersive experience for the educators.
Sr Sharon led the opening prayer and orientation session, setting a serene and focused atmosphere. Through a series of thought-provoking activities and interactive discussions, Sr Jyoti and Ms Kripanjali helped participants explore the importance of cultivating inner strength, emotional intelligence, and a balanced mindset.
In a profession often marked by high demands and constant multitasking, the retreat served as a gentle reminder of the power of inner grounding. It reinforced the idea that true professional growth begins with personal well-being and self-awareness.
As the day unfolded, teachers were encouraged to reconnect with their inner purpose, share reflections, and explore tools for resilience. The experience was not only restorative but also empowering—helping staff realign with the deeper values that brought them to the vocation of teaching.
The retreat concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mrs Juliet, followed by a concluding prayer and a song of gratitude, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of purpose, peace, and energy for the year ahead.
