Bendur, August 14, 2025 – The kindergarten students of St. Theresa School, Bendur, celebrated the Our Pride, Our Nation activity on the eve of Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism.
The children learned about the importance of Independence Day and the value of freedom. The teacher introduced them to India’s proud national symbols — the Lotus (national flower), Mango (national fruit), Peacock (national bird), Banyan tree (national tree), and Tiger (national animal). The significance of the Indian National Flag was also explained, helping the little ones understand the meaning of its colors and the Ashoka Chakra.
Each child brought a small national flag, proudly held it in their hand, and together they sang a song about India, filling the classroom with patriotic spirit.
The activity helped the children connect with their nation’s pride in a joyful and simple way, fostering love and respect for India at an early age.
