ISC Curriculum (Grades XI and XII)

St. Theresa’s School prepares students for the Indian School Certificate (ISC) Examination conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). The ISC curriculum offers a comprehensive and balanced education with a strong emphasis on conceptual understanding, analytical ability, and application of knowledge, thereby equipping students for higher education and future careers.

English is a compulsory subject for all students as per ISC regulations and is studied in addition to the selected stream subjects.

At the commencement of Class XI, students exercise their choice of stream and subject combination based on their aptitude, interest, and future academic goals.

Commerce Stream

  • Business Studies, Accountancy, Economics, Entrepreneurship (BAEE)
  • Business Studies, Accountancy, Economics, Computer Science (BAEC)
  • Business Studies, Accountancy, Economics, Artificial Intelligence (BAEAI).

Humanities Stream

  • History, Economics, Political Science, Psychology (HEPP)
  • History, Economics, Political Science, Geography (HEPG)
  • Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Artificial Intelligence (PSPAI)


Students and parents are advised to choose the subject combination thoughtfully, keeping in mind the student’s aptitude and proposed field of higher studies.

Internal Assessment forms an integral part of the ISC evaluation pattern and contributes to the final results as prescribed by CISCE in each subject.

In addition to academic requirements, students are expected to actively participate in Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW) and Community Service, which are essential components of the school’s holistic education programme
