St Theresa’s School, Bendur, Mangalore held an environmental awareness week programme from 5th to 10th June 2023 as part of the World Environment Day program.
On the first day,
On June 5, 2023, Environmental application students of class 10 held a special
assembly on the topic “World Environment
Day”.
The staff and students pledged to
protect and nurture the
environment by saving energy, and water, reducing the use of disposable plastics, and promoting the usage of reusable materials.
School cabinet member Saksham held a quiz relating to environmental awareness for students of classes I to X.
As part of the
awareness
programme, Eco Club members cleaned the school garden and planted saplings.
On Wednesday, 7 June 2023, a Rangoli competition was conducted on the topic “Save our planet Earth” for the students of class VI.
On Friday, 9 June 2023 a skit was presented by environmental application students of class IX to promote awareness to save the environment. A drawing competition was also conducted for primary students of classes I to V on the topic ‘Save Environment’.
The main goal of these activities was to instill a clean and
green consciousness among the students and motivate the public to participate in environmental protection and improvement.
The whole week was meaningfully celebrated.
