St. Theresa’s School Excels at IIMUN Mangaluru, Wins Best Delegation Award
Mangaluru: Students of St. Theresa’s School, Bendur, Mangaluru, delivered an impressive performance at the three-day India International Model United Nations (IIMUN) hosted by Bharat Academy, Mangaluru, in collaboration with the Taking India Forward Campaign.
Competing in various committees, the students demonstrated confidence, leadership, public speaking, diplomacy, teamwork and quick decision-making skills. They actively participated in debates, moderated and unmoderated caucuses, crisis situations and other committee proceedings, competing with delegates from different schools.
The students brought home several individual honours:
- UNW: Best Delegate – Spathika Shetty; High Commendation – Shannara Kadidal
- ICIJ – Press and Media: Best Photographer – Nia Jasani
- UNEP: Best Delegate – Sumedh Chandrakant Rao
- Karnataka Legislative Assembly (KLA): Best Delegate – Lisa Rasquinha
- Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC): High Commendation – Jewel Mary
The highlight of the competition was St. Theresa’s School winning the prestigious Best Delegation Award, recognising the outstanding collective performance, participation and team spirit of its delegates.
The achievements at IIMUN reflect the students’ preparation, confidence and commitment, bringing yet another proud moment to St. Theresa’s School, Bendur.
