St. Theresa’s School, Bendur Girls Crowned Champions at Inaugural Shastra Cup Basketball Tournament
Mangaluru, September 17: The girls’ basketball team of St. Theresa’s School, Bendur, Mangaluru, emerged champions in the inaugural Shastra Cup Basketball Tournament, organised by Shastra NextGen Basketball Academy at the U.S. Mallya Indoor Stadium from September 15 to 17.
The St. Theresa’s team showcased excellent skill, teamwork and determination throughout the tournament to clinch the championship title.
The victorious team comprised Nia Jasani, Aarushi R. Shetty, Dwisha N. Shetty, Lisa Rasquinha, Saanvi N., Ainhoa D’Costa, Abigail Isacc, Angela D’Souza, Deona Jose and Kaitlyin Vaz.
Saanvi N. was awarded the Best Player Award for her outstanding performance.
The team was coached by Mr. Vineeth Poojary and Mr. Shashank J. Rai, whose guidance and support helped the young players maintain their focus, discipline and team spirit throughout the tournament.
The victory is a proud achievement for St. Theresa’s School, Bendur, and adds another accomplishment to the school’s growing record of sporting achievements.
