Hindi Diwas Celebrated at St. Theresa’s School
Mangaluru, September 16, 2026: St. Theresa’s School, Mangaluru, celebrated Hindi Diwas with enthusiasm and cultural fervour on September 16, highlighting the significance of Hindi in promoting unity, communication and cultural understanding.
The programme was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Uday Kumar B., Head of the Department of Hindi, St. Agnes College, Principal Sr. Lourdes BS, Vice Principal Sr. Vidya, PTA Vice President Mrs. Linda Pereira, and Guest of Honour Achinthya Rai, 1st Runner-Up of Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – 2026, Mangaluru, along with his parents.
The celebration featured a prayer, inspirational speeches, graceful dance performances, a meaningful Hindi skit and a special felicitation ceremony. Students showcased their talent, creativity and confidence through a variety of presentations celebrating the richness and beauty of the Hindi language.
The participation of students from diverse linguistic backgrounds added special significance to the occasion. Their enthusiastic involvement reflected the spirit of “एक भारत, श्रेष्ठ भारत”, emphasising how language can serve as a bridge that connects people, cultures and hearts.
The celebration provided an opportunity for students to appreciate the richness of Hindi language and literature while gaining a deeper understanding of India’s diverse cultural heritage.
