St. Theresa’s School Conducts 22nd Annual General Body Meeting

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of St. Theresa’s School, Bendur, successfully organised its 22nd Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, 27 June 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Msgr Raymond Auditorium.
The programme commenced with a Guard of Honour presented by the school band and NCC students, followed by the arrival of the dignitaries. The ceremonial lighting of the sacred lamp, symbolising wisdom and enlightenment, marked the formal inauguration of the event. This was followed by a melodious prayer song and a graceful welcome dance performed by the students, creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere.
The gathering was warmly welcomed by Sr Lourdes BS, Principal and PTA President, who highlighted the significance of a strong partnership between parents and the school in nurturing responsible, confident, and well-rounded individuals. As a meaningful gesture promoting environmental awareness and gratitude, saplings were presented to the dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering, Sr Shaila BS, Chairperson and Correspondent, encouraged parents to devote quality time to their children, regulate screen exposure, and strengthen family bonds to support their emotional and academic well-being.
A special highlight of the programme was the felicitation of the ICSE Toppers of the academic year 2025–26, recognising and celebrating their outstanding academic achievements.
The Chief Guest and Resource Person, Dr Supriya Hegde Aroor, Professor and Head of the Department of Psychiatry, Fr Muller’s Medical College, delivered an insightful session on “Positive Parenting.” She emphasised the importance of creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment that enables children to develop emotional resilience, self-confidence, and balanced growth.
The meeting also included the presentation of the Annual Report, confirmation of the minutes of the previous AGM, and presentation of PTA accounts, reflecting transparency and collective participation in school activities.
The programme was efficiently compered by Mr Mithun Bhat Kakunje and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs Collete Cabral, PTA Vice President. The event concluded with the National Anthem, marking yet another successful and meaningful gathering that strengthened the bond between parents and educators.
