The Independence Day Assembly of the primary sections of grade 4 B and 4C of St Theresa’s School was held on 13th August 2025, with great pride and enthusiasm under the theme “India Through My Eyes.” The event was beautifully organized by Classes 4B and 4C, showcasing the young students’ understanding and vision of our nation.
The morning began with a solemn prayer service, invoking blessings for our country and remembering the sacrifices of our brave freedom fighters. The prayer set a reverent tone and reminded everyone of the deeper meaning of independence.
This was followed by a cheerful welcome dance and a short, informative speech on the importance of the day, highlighting India’s journey to freedom and the values of unity, courage, and sacrifice that continue to shape our nation.
A powerful dance drama was then presented by the students, portraying India as it is now and how it should be. Through dance, narration, and role-play, the children expressed their hopes for a cleaner, kinder, more inclusive India – one that upholds the values of honesty, equality, and peace. Their performance was both touching and thought-provoking.
Mr. Nithin P Ullal, a Marine Engineer was the Chief Guest. In his address, he appreciated the efforts of the students and encouraged them to be responsible citizens of tomorrow. He emphasized that children are the future of India and urged them to contribute positively in their own ways by being disciplined and nurturing the value of empathy in their lives .
Sr. Lourdes, the school Principal, and Sr. Vidya, the Vice Principal, graced the occasion with their presence and congratulated the students and teachers for organizing such a meaningful program.
The assembly also included a certificate distribution ceremony, where winners of various school activities namely the Bottle Decorating and Patriotic Singing were recognized and awarded for their achievements, adding joy and motivation to the day.
The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, sung with pride and patriotism by everyone present.
The Independence Day Assembly was a perfect blend of reflection, creativity, and celebration, truly bringing alive the theme “India Through My Eyes” through the voices and visions of our young learners.
