The first grade students of St. Theresa's school performed with enthusiasm and support from their parents and the school on Parents Day, filling the school's hallways with joy.
It was amazing to see the students' happiness.
With a prayer and a greeting from them, the program got underway.
The Chief Guest for the day was Dr Vinay V Rao, Consultant ENT, Head and neck Surgeon, Professor and Unit head, Dept of ENT at Father Muller Medical College, Mangaluru. He was accompanied by the School Principal Sr Lourdes.
The students enacted a drama based on happiness. A child learns that enjoyment is found not on a cell phone but rather with family, friends, nature, and through outdoor games. The students entertained the gathering through their mesmerising moves. Their energetic performance enthralled the audience.
The Principal encouraged the parents to support their child’s talent. She also emphasised on using respectful and positive words in our conversation since the children observe, imitate and grasp from the us exactly what we do and say. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering on four important aspects on parenting, namely prayer, love, discipline and involvement.
The program ended with a vote of thanks.
