The first and second graders at St Theresa's School in Bendur, Mangaluru, celebrated Christmas with great zeal and excitement.
There was a festive and cheery atmosphere in St Theresa's hall. The Chief Guest for the day Fr Vivian Rodrigues, Assistant Parish Priest at St Sebastian’s Church, Bendur along with the Principal Sr Lourdes, Vice Principal Sr Reena, Coordinator Ms Sharon along with the children lit the Christmas candle to symbolize the light of love and hope at the start of the festivities.
The students participated in a prayer service to symbolize well being of all and unity of hearts and minds.
A student later welcomed everyone to the event.
The day's significance was explained along with the Christmas symbols.
After performing the nativity scene, the students joyfully sang carols. Later, the students performed some carol dancing.
The Chief Guest Fr Vivian in his message said we need to be the light shining bright during this Christmas season.
The students along with the teachers had a memorable time during the assembly today.
