102nd Foundation Day Celebration- St Theresa’s School, Bendur : ‘Bethany, a tree planted by the running waters.’ The atmosphere at St Theresa’s School was filled with joy and happiness. The celebration of the Bethany Foundation Day began with the program conducted by the primary section on 13th of July. Sr. Dona BS the Superior of the Mother house was the chief guest. A thanksgiving mass was held in honour of Servant of God Msgr RFC Mascarenhas on 14th July 2022 at St. Sebastian Church, Bendur. Fr. Joseph Martis the Rector of St. Joseph's Seminary, Jeppu celebrated the Holy Eucharist. The program for the high school section was held on 15th July 2022. Sr Shaila BS, the Correspondent of the school was the chief guest. The journey of Fr. Founder and the Sisters of the Little Flowers of Bethany was depicted by the students of grades 4 and 8. They beautifully presented the birth and growth of the Bethany Congregation through dance and drama. On this auspicious occasion, 'The Communique ' Theresian newsletter was released by Sr. Shaila BS the Correspondent of St Theresa's school. With profound joy and gratitude, the Theresian family visited the Generalate. It was an honour and privilege to wish Rev. Sr. Rose Celine, BS the Superior General of the Bethany Congregation, the President of the BES, and all the sisters present. To enhance the mood of celebration a felicitation program was organised by the faculty for all the Bethany Sisters of St Theresa's school. A prayer session was held in honour of Servant of God Msgr RFC Mascarenhas and prayed that he may be raised to the honours of the Altar. All the sisters of Bethany Congregation were thanked for their selfless service to the humanity all over the world. Sr. Shaila BS the Correspondent, Sr. Lourdes BS the Principal, Sr. Caron BS the Vice -Principal, Sr. Winjoy BS the Coordinator of Primary section, Sr. Grace Ida BS, Sr. Shanthi BS, and Sr. Divya BS were honoured, appreciated and thanked for their service. The legacy the Founder left behind is carried forward by the Bethany Sisters and the ministries done by the Sisters are the fruits of the charism and spirituality of the congregation.
