Young Talents Shine at the Prestigious Sporting Event
St. Theresa’s School, Bendur, played host to the CISCE Sports & Games 2025-26 Zonal Level Tennis Tournament on 20 June 2025, kickstarting the event with a vibrant and well-coordinated inaugural ceremony.
The event commenced with a meaningful introduction underscoring the importance of sports in holistic student development, followed by a soulful prayer song that set a reverent tone. Sr Lourdes, the Principal, warmly welcomed the gathering and introduced the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Ashwin Padukone, a noted figure in the tennis circuit. His inspirational address highlighted the values of perseverance and sportsmanship.
The tournament was officially declared open by Sr Shaila, the Correspondent of the school, who emphasized the spirit of healthy competition. Soon after, the courts came alive with thrilling matches, as players from various schools competed with enthusiasm and discipline.
The tournament proved to be a showcase of extraordinary skill, sportsmanship, and budding talent. St. Theresa’s School, Bendur, emerged as the dominant force, clinching first place across all categories in both the Under-14 and Under-17 divisions.
