It was a proud moment to place on record, the celebration of the “Parents Day” by the students of LKG on the 28th January 2020, in the school auditorium. It commenced with a divine note to God Almighty thanking Him for His blessings in the form of a Thanksgiving dance. “Sparkling Vibes” this theme was befitting for the programme, as the stage was indeed sparkling with the glittering costumes adorned by the students, this synchronised well with the music beats to vibe with. The students were overjoyed to perform on stage, stomping their feet and swaying to a fantastic blend of Western, Eastern and Konkani songs. An excerpt from the life of Father R.F.C Mascarenhas, the Founder of the Bethany Congregation, was vividly enacted by the students. The Chief Guest Mrs. Anjana Kamath addressed the august gathering and spoke on the topic “Parenting Skills”. She explained to the parents that the key to the success of a child is the positive involvement of parents in their day to day activities. The Principal Sr. Philomene Saldanha, Vice-Principal Sr. Lourdes, Co-ordinator Sr. Severine were truly a source of encouragement to the students and the teachers to put up a stage programme par excellence. The parents expressed their deep appreciation for the teachers and the supporting staff for their selfless service and toil in making this event a memorable one. They surely did depart with a smile on their face and a heart full of thanks.
