‘Independence is not freedom, it’s a responsibility ‘. The students of grade 2B celebrated Independence Day with much splendour, enthusiasm, and patriotic fervour. The students presented their class assembly to celebrate sovereignty on the 75th Independence Day of India. The day represents the true spirit of freedom, courage, and sacrifices made by countless men and women in the past.
The program began with a short prayer service invoking the divine blessings of God in the gathering. The students were dressed in the tri colours of our national flag, which spread the spirit of patriotism amongst the audience at the beginning of the program itself.
The prayer service was followed by a formal welcome speech. This was followed by a spectacular cultural program where the students paid tribute to the martyrs by means of song presentations. The patriotic song awakened everyone’s feelings toward the motherland. A student representative enlightened and refreshed the audience about the significance of the day.
The vice Principal Sr.Caron delivered the short speech. She highlighted to the students about the supreme sacrifice of the great martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of freedom.
The program ended with a student giving a vote of thanks. It was indeed a day where everyone felt the need to contribute towards making our country a better place for everyone to live and experience freedom, peace, and unity in diversity.
