St. Theresa's School organized three days Educational Trip for the students of class IX to Mysuru. The journey began on 22nd September 2022 by train (vistadome) from Mangalore Junction. The students enjoyed the scenic beauty of the Western Ghats while traveling. The train reached Hassan at 4.30 pm. After boarding the bus the students enjoyed the beautiful nature of Shravanbelgola and then continued their journey to Mysore. After dinner, students checked in to the Hotel. (Pai Vista)
The second day was very exciting, after a delicious breakfast, the students went to the Chamundi Hills, and the view from there was quite breathtaking.
The next destination was the wax museum. It represented wax models of famous people from history and contemporary personalities exhibited in life-like poses. Students clicked photos with these personalities.
The Sea Shell museum: The sculptures are made out of Sea Shells. Ms. Radha Mallapa holds the Guinness World record for her work with shells. Students got an opportunity to interact with Ms. Radha Mallapa and were able to take valuable input from her. It was a wonderful experience.
Shuka Vana: This is a beautiful bird sanctuary and the students were mesmerized watching the beautiful birds and some endangered species of birds. They were surprised to see the rare species of birds. The students felt the divine presence in this sanctuary.
In the evening, Students visited the Brindavan gardens. The whole garden when illuminated was an enchanting site to see. The musical fountain was one of its main attraction which the students enjoyed.
After dinner, students retired to their respective rooms
On the third day after checking out of the hotel, students visited the St. Philomena Church, one of the tallest churches in Asia. Students spent a few minutes
in silent meditation.
The visit to the Aqua World, the largest underwater aquarium was a treat to the eyes of the students. A variety of sea animals and fishes were a sight to see.
The last destination was the snow world and the G.R.S Fantasy Park. The snow world gave them an amazing experience and they felt that they were in a hill station. Children spent the whole afternoon in the Park enjoying the water and dry rides and had a fantastic time. Around 5.30 p.m, the students along with the teachers boarded the bus and headed back to Mangaluru.
This trip enhanced the student's love for nature, and respect for our culture and history. It invoked team spirit and collaboration.
