A Career Guidance Programme 'Careers- Ladder to Success' was organized for the students of Class X of St Theresa’s School on 6 August 2022. The resource person was welcomed by the Principal, Sr Lourdes.
The resource person for the session Mr Patrick Braggs highlighted the need to choose careers that make students happy without being covered to do so by their parents.
Career options open to the modern generation is vast and encompasses all fields of education. One should break free of the stereotyped careers of medicine and engineering and explore other fields that are made available to students particularly after the phase of the pandemic.
Parents are to motivate and guide their ward in their choices and ensure that they are comfortable and satisfied with the careers they choose.
In her address, the Principal Sr Lourdes advised parents to monitor their ward at home particularly in their academic and the use of mobile phones.
The session ended with a few questions posed by parents and their doubts aptly addressed by the resource person. Ananya Mishra proposed the vote of thanks and Mrs Juliet Rodrigues compered the programme. The programme was beneficial to both parents and students after which an aptitude test was conducted for the students.
