If you are planning for a year, sow rice; if you are planning for a decade, plant trees; if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people. This quote holds good as the teachers of St Theresa’s were blessed with a wonderful opportunity for team building and to work on the strengths of the teachers before the start of the academic year 2023-24.
The resource person for the day was Fr Sujay Daniel, SJ., who is currently a research scholar at the University of Mangalore in the field of neuroscience.
The aim of this retreat was to build our life on a rock. The day began with an ice-breaking session. Various activities were conducted for growth and team building. Each individual had to identify their strengths and share with one another and to let go of their weakness.
The next activity was conducted in a group of four, where each one had to draw and then was asked to circulate among themselves and complete the picture. This activity helped to accept the ideas of the team members, appreciate their creativity, and build a strong bond.
The meditation helped the teachers to stay focused. The resource person concluded the session by praying for God’s blessings to shine on the efforts of the teachers for the new academic year 2023-24.
The teachers thanked Rev Fr Sujay, the Resource person, and Sr Lourdes, the Principal for organising this wonderful Staff enrichment programme.
