St Theresa’s School conducts an Elocution Competition for students of grades 3-5: ‘Speech is power; speech is to persuade; to convert, to compel’. The students of grades 3-5 had the Elocution Competition on their grade-wise given topics. Two students from every section were selected to take part in the final day’s competition. The students spoke with confidence and clarity and were a real treat to watch and listen to. The topics for the competition were: The happiest day of my life, If I could talk to animals, How water is important to us, What happiness means to me and Why farmers are important to us. Prizes were awarded grade-wise. The school principal Sr Lourdes and primary school co-ordinator Sr Winjoy graced the occasion with their presence and shared their feelings about the competition. The primary staff members were the other attendees of the competition. It was a successful competition which brought out the speaking talents of many students.
