Kannada Rajyotsav Day was celebrated with pomp and show at St Theresa's School. The Chief Guest Steven Quadros, Professor of Government First Grade Women's College, Puthur, inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp and spoke about the history of Kannada and the importance of celebrating the Kannada state festival in a meaningful way. He said on this occasion that we should respect our Nadu Nudi culture.
The School Principal Sr. Lourdes congratulated the High School Kannada teachers for the wonderful and meaningful programme and emphasised in her speech the students.
The students showcased cultural programs depicting Kannada Nadu, Nudi, and its rich culture and heritage. Different district- specific dances from Karnataka, along with the renowned Yakshagana and the tiger dance, were performed and showcased.
Gratitude was expressed to the participants and students.
